AI ACT – Time to Prepare for Changes, Including in the iGaming Industry

Artificial intelligence already plays a significant role in the iGaming industry today, supporting processes such as KYC, AML, and player behavior analysis. With the entry into force of the EU AI Act in 2026, uniform and detailed regulations in this area will be introduced. The new rules establish a risk-based classification of systems, compliance and supervision obligations, and a prohibition on manipulative practices, directly affecting online gambling operators. Legal harmonization will enhance market safety and transparency while simultaneously imposing additional compliance requirements on businesses.
