The Gambling Act has for years lagged behind the dynamic changes in the market, particularly in the online sector, which encourages the growth of the grey market and limits the competitiveness of legal entities. Possible solutions include introducing a GGR tax, establishing a Gambling Supervision Commission, changes in taxation and regulations concerning poker, or even the demonopolization of online casinos. The key, however, will be finding a balance between increasing budget revenues, effectively combating the illegal market, and protecting players.
